Regional Station, Motipur, Bihar The Motipur centre under SBI Coimbatore was transferred under administrative control of IISR, Lucknow during the mid 10th plan period. It was taken over by the institute on April, 2004. Now it functions as IISR Regional Station Motipur, Muzaffarpur (Bihar) - 843111, Lucknow and started to address the problems of sugarcane cultivation in the mid eastern region of the country.

Mandate of Regional Station are :

1. Production of breeder seed
2. Screening of germplasm for red rot resistance
